The Young Ambassadors scheme will give young people between the ages of 13-16 the opportunity to learn more about their history and heritage, take part in outdoor activities, creative workshops, meet new people, and develop skills. All activities take place within the North West Wales Slate Landscape World Heritage Site, once a month. Transport will be arranged, and all activities will be free of charge.
It is a very good opportunity for those who are thinking about a career in sectors such as the environment, heritage, tourism, sport, history, leisure. The scheme provides opportunities to gain new experiences, and can contribute to volunteering hours or community participation on courses such as The Welsh Baccalaureate.
The size of the groups can vary depending on the activity, but in order to have progression, we recommend attending 6 sessions. A Young Ambassador certificate will be awarded to those who attend.
